3 Cups Milk
6 Table Spoons Sugar
1 tea spoon Vanilla Essence
1/2 tea spoon Elaichi Powder
First caramelise 2 Table Spoons of Sugar in a pan or dish on medium heat.
Then add the eggs, milk, vanilla essence, elaichi powder and remaining sugar together.
After the sugar is caramelised take 1 table spoon from the caramel and add it to the Milk and Egg mixture.
Blend all ingredients. Then pour this mixture into the same dish as the caramelized sugar.
Place this dish in another larger dish containing water and bake at a medium pre-heated oven for approx 30 minutes or till its cooked.
Check with a butter knife. If the knife comes out clean then its done.
Take it out of the oven and let it cool. When room temperature, you can put it in the fridge for a few hours. Do not attempt to take out the pudding till it’s completely cooled.
